Do not come here for a dining experience. Come here for delicious food!! Everything we got was 10/10. I didn't understand why a chicken quesadilla would be 10 until I saw the size of this thing!!! It was so big my TEENAGER needed to eat the 2nd half for lunch the next day! The rolled tacos are made to order, I got the enchilada ones, but there are other options available. That enchilada sauce is SO SO good! And I am not a spice person. With that, this dish was a must have! The horchata is delicious and on a churner as it should be Also, everyone love a burrito bigger than a Snapple
This is honestly the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The servings sizes are gigantic and delicious, the staff are helpful, and fast working, and the food comes out fast too. I got Chuy’s burrito, and it was as big as my entire forearm. My wife got the Adobada Nachos, and we couldn’t even finish it together. 10/10, a lot delicious food for a great price, I will back here as many times as I can before I explode.
I've lived in SD for 50 years, I know about good taco shops. Chuy's is legit my go-to spot. You can't go wrong with anything here, I personally have my regular thing, 1/2 order Supreme Fries, no sour cream. It's 12.99!!! Enough for 2 meals and the Carne Asada is bomb. I've tried the burritos, breakfasts, combos, never a bad meal. The nicest people work here and they all care about the food they serve. Free chips and guacamole on Sundays for dine in too.
Came here after an event so we were all hungry. I got the Cabeza Torta which was fabulous ! My buddies got the the surf n turf Cali burrito which was huge !!! They loved it. We shared the potato rolled tacos and shared the carne asada nachos ! It was so huge it can definitely feed two people ! Their salsas were amazing ! Cashier are always helpful helping choose items on the menu. Lots of seating inside and restaurant was clean which is always a plus.
I LOVED this restaurant. There was a previous negative review about the shrimp burrito and let me just say they are dead wrong. Lots of shrimp included, and perfectly cooked. Huge portions so anyone complaining about portions are out of their mind. Very friendly staff and a must stop if you’re a Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives fan and going through SD. Thanks for the amazing food and service!
Chuyz is the spot to go to for value Mexican eats! First time I went, Cristal was very friendly, and walked me through the menu. Since then, I've continued to order the carne asada supreme burrito (and it is HUGE). They have a burrito 3x the size of the one I ordered...so if you had 3 other people, I would definitely order the large burrito and split it up! I've also ordered the carne asada quesadilla, and it was good as well! Parking available in the plaza. Food comes out pretty quick!
My wife and I ordered food here for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. She ordered two shrimp and a carne asada taco. She really loved the carne asada taco, but not the shrimp tacos. I thought my huge carne asada fries were freaking bomb as heck! Everything came out to about45.34. But to me, it was money I was okay spending. Could I have gotten it cheaper at other places? Yes. But I really enjoyed it from Chuy’s. I can say honestly that I would come back.
Seen this place on tik Tok and wanted to try. The food is great. We got carne asada fries, chorizo burrito, steak/egg/potato burrito and Chilequilles Verde. Everything was so good. The Chilequilles were spicy but so worth it. The burritos were so big we could only eat partial. We will be back for more
